Status App is a paid app. Google Play shows the price for your region.

What it does

One tap

Set your current availability in a couple of taps. No message to write, no call to make.

Timed statuses

Driving or heads-down? Your status counts itself down and clears when you’re free again.

Approved contacts

Only the people you accept can see you. Requests can be accepted or blocked outright.

Both directions

See when the people you care about are around, instead of guessing or interrupting.

Google sign-in

Sign in with the Google account you already have. There’s no extra password to look after.

Nothing broadcast

Your status is never public. You choose who sees it, and you can delete your account whenever you like.

How Status App works

Status App answers one question for the people close to you: are you free right now? It does that without a message, a call, or a read receipt.

  1. Sign in with Google. There is no separate account to create and no extra password to remember. Your email address is never shown to anyone you connect with.
  2. Add the people you want. You send a request, they accept it, and the connection works both ways. Anyone you would rather not hear from can be blocked, and removing someone takes effect immediately in both directions.
  3. Set your status in one tap. Pick from awake, sleeping, busy, away, driving, or offline. Give it a timer and it counts itself down, then clears on its own so you never leave a stale “busy” sitting there all afternoon.

Your approved contacts see your display name, your photo, and your current status — nothing else. Everyone knows when to reach out and when to leave you alone, and nobody had to send “you up?” to find out.

The six statuses

  • Awake — around and reachable.
  • Sleeping — do not call. Useful across time zones and for shift workers.
  • Busy — at work, in a meeting, heads-down. Pair it with a timer.
  • Away — out, but not unreachable.
  • Driving — you set it yourself before you pull off; it clears when the timer ends.
  • Offline — nothing shared until you set something else.

Made for

  • Families checking in on people they love, especially across time zones
  • Friends trying to work out when to call without interrupting
  • Shift workers, nurses, and drivers whose hours move around
  • Couples who want a quiet way to say “heads-down” or “on my way”
  • Anyone who wants fewer interruptions and still wants to stay reachable

Privacy & your account

Status App shares only what you choose with the people you approve. Your status is never public, and it is never sold. There is no advertising in the app and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

Status App does not collect:

  • Your location — the driving status is one you set yourself
  • Your contacts or your address book
  • Your photos or your phone number
  • The contents of any message

Your friends see your display name, your photo, and your current status. They do not see your email address, your devices, your purchases, or your past status history. Remove someone and the connection ends immediately in both directions.

Full details are in the Status App privacy policy. If you want your account and data removed, follow the account deletion instructions or email support@stirhits.com.

Common questions

Status App is a paid Android app that lets you share your current availability with a small group of people you have approved. You set a status — awake, sleeping, busy, away, driving, or offline — and the contacts you have accepted see it change. It replaces the “are you free?” message with something they can just look at.

Status App is a one-time purchase, not a subscription — $1.99 USD at the time of writing, though Google Play shows the current price for your region. There is no recurring billing and no advertising in the app.

No. Status App does not collect your location at any point. The driving status is one you set yourself before you pull off, and it clears when the timer you gave it runs out.

Only the people whose friend requests you have accepted, or who have accepted yours. Your status is never public. Approved contacts see your display name, your profile photo, and your current status — not your email address, your devices, your purchase history, or your past status changes.

No. Status App never reads your address book. You add people by sending and accepting requests inside the app, so nothing is uploaded from your phone.

A timed status counts itself down and clears on its own when the time is up, so you never leave a stale “busy” sitting there. Your contacts can also see when you are expected back.

Not yet. Status App is on Google Play for Android today, and an iOS version is in the works. The App Store badge on this page becomes a link the day it ships.

Removing a contact takes effect immediately and permanently, in both directions. They stop receiving your status and you stop receiving theirs. Incoming requests can also be blocked outright rather than accepted.

You can request deletion of your account and all its data at any time, free of charge. Follow the steps on the account deletion page or email support@stirhits.com. Deletion is permanent and is completed within 30 days of a verified request.
